The standard initial franchise fee is $35,000 for each restaurant. You may own and operate 2 or more Sonny’s restaurants under an Area Development Agreement and a development fee of $20,000 is expected for each restaurant commitment, which is then credited toward payment of the initial franchise fee on a pro-rata basis.

Standard initial term of our Franchise Agreement is twenty (20) years with a renewal option of ten (10) years.

There is a 4.5% royalty fee. Advertising fees* consist of a 2% System Brand Fund Contribution and a 2% Local Advertising Expenditure. All fees are paid per restaurant and are based on Gross Receipts.

*We may require that you join a cooperative advertising program and contribute 2% of your Gross Receipts to that program. Please see Item 6 of our most current FDD for additional information.

$500,000 in liquid assets, $1M net worth and the ability to raise $1.8M in capital per location.

The process includes candidate qualification, the application process, due diligence, financial review, business plan review, Franchise/Area Development Agreement signing, site selection, training and Grand Opening.  The candidate qualification process takes approximately 90-120 days. The average length of time between signing the Franchise Agreement to the Grand Opening is 10-18 months.
